I am not sure what this treatment is. Thai facial? Slap, slap and more slapping sounds painful. It makes me think of the movie ” Fight Club” starring Brad Pitt where they say things like “Pain is Beauty”. So I had to do some research on it…Here are a few people’s reviews:
In a review for Thai slap facials on TripAdvisor, one person writes, “The slapping was so hard that it actually hurt my face. I did not feel relaxed afterward as promised and my skin felt dry and irritated.” Ouch! Another reviewer said, “I got the slap facial and it was way too rough. It left my skin feeling really dry and irritated.”
Is the Slap Facial relaxing?
So, if you’re looking for a relaxing facial treatment, the Thai slap facial is probably not the best option. However, if you’re looking for something that will give your skin a good workout, this treatment might be perfect for you! According to some reviewers, it leaves your skin feeling “tight and firm, like you’ve exercised.”
One commenter said that it was “hard to believe how much toning and tightening the facial does for my face. I look younger in just one treatment!” Another reviewer said she had a lot of breakouts before her first session but after three treatments, she says: “I have not been breakout free since this facial, but I am almost there.”
Enjoying the Slap Facial
It seems like whether or not you’ll enjoy the Thai slap face treatment depends on your goals for it. If firm and tight skin is what you’re after, then a few sessions might do the trick! However, if brightening and improving texture are more of your thing, this may be a treatment to avoid. So, if you’re curious about this treatment, do your research and decide whether it’s right for you!
There are many other bizarre facial treatments out there, like the bee sting facial and fire facial. I am not sure if I will ever try them, but they do have their benefits. Have you tried any weird facial treatments? Let me know in the comments!
