Restylane
Restylane is an FDA-approved dermal filler made of a biodegradable, non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. Restylane was shown to be effective when compared to cross-linked collagen and cross-linked hyaluronic acid dermal fillers with respect to the correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds, and in lip augmentation. - Dental visit in the last 2 weeks or planned within the next 2 weeks.
- Recent vaccinations or upcoming vaccinations within the next 2 weeks.
- Facial surgeries or trauma within the past 8 weeks.
- Active cold sore when treating the lip area.
- Special occasions like weddings or photo shoots within 2 weeks after treatment (unless discussed with your provider), allowing side effects and swelling to settle.
- Stay hydrated – aim for 64 oz water & moisturize the injection area.
- Boost Vitamin C with 2000 mg daily prior to treatment.
- Arnica 3 days before – dissolve 5 pellets under your tongue, 3x/day.
- Avoid Omega 3s, Turmeric, Ibuprofen, Vit E, Ginkgo Biloba, Garlic Supps & Aspirin for 7 days (consult if on anticoags).
- Skip alcohol 4 days prior (yes, even red wine).
- Pause Retinol & exfoliating acids 3 days before & after for radiant results! Prep smart for your flawless aesthetic journey.
- Rest assured, swelling will subside over time.
- Temporary asymmetry or unevenness, particularly in the lips, is normal within 10 days post-procedure.
- Expect the treated area to feel firm to the touch, which is a normal part of the process. Possible bruising and swelling can occur.
- Ease discomfort with ice, antihistamines, Arnica, and Alastin INhance serum. Healing may take up to 10 days.
- Refrain from massaging the treated area
- Maintain a head-above-heart position for 4 hours
- Avoid exercising for 24 hours
- Skip makeup for 24 hours to prevent infection
- Sleep upright on your back post-procedure to minimize swelling
- Combat swelling with Arnica cream/gel or oral Arnica
- Address bruising with Alastin INhance serum or Bromelain 200 mg for faster healing. Your optimal results begin with proper care.
