The blood will then be spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood (white blood cells and red blood cells). The platelets collect at the top of the vial. The PRF and PRP are then injected into the scalp. The platelets contain growth factors that can help to stimulate hair growth. The growth factors can also help to improve the health of the hair follicles during your hair restoration.
What Should I Expect After a PRF Treatment?
After your platelet hair treatment, you may experience some redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. These side effects are usually mild and go away on their own within a few days. You may also experience some hair shedding in the weeks following the treatment. This is normal and is a sign that the treatment is working.
